Bahamas Youth Climate Conference

The Bahamas Youth Climate Conference (BYCC) is an annual event hosted by the Climate Change and Environmental Advisory Unit (CCEAU) to empower Bahamian youth ages 16–25 with the knowledge, tools, and platforms needed to take meaningful climate action. The conference explores the science and policy of climate change, its impacts on The Bahamas and other Small Island Developing States (SIDS), and its link to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
2026 BYCC Registration

Registration is open

At its core, BYCC is about creating space for youth to champion their future and play an active role in building national climate resilience. The BYCC takes place during the first week of July at the University of The Bahamas. Each year, BYCC features a dynamic program shaped by a unique theme, allowing for fresh perspectives and evolving focus areas.

The conference typically includes a mix of high-energy entertainment, expert panel discussions, interactive presentations, hands-on breakout sessions with targeted themes (such as food security, health, and energy), and a career fair connecting participants to green job opportunities and academic pathways.
